Enrollment
To enroll to take the exam I suggest you go to Cultura Inglesa Asa Sul 709/908 Sul. Parking is easier.
The last day for enrollment is on 30th September. Should you miss this date there will be an extra fee (usually around R$50) but it will only be for a week or two after this date.
Payment
The cost of the exam is R$542
If payment is made in August the price can be divided into 4 times
If the payment is made in September the price can be divided into 3.
Exam date
The dates of the exam are as follows:
- Reading, Writing, use of English and Listening: 10th December
- Speaking: 11th December
Extra information about the day of the test
The speaking test of the 11th will last until the late afternoon. I suggest you take the day off from work and maybe not go to bed late the previous night. You will find the test tiring and it will finish around 5.p.m.
On the 11th the speaking test will most probably be in the afternoon i.e. 14:00 till 16:00.
Note: When you receive your exam number after enrollment you will also have these dates confirmed and the exact time you will be doing the oral exam.

In Writing Paper 2 of the test, there are two tasks to complete, which means basically two pieces of writing. The first is compulsory and the second there is a number of options. In this second task you may chose to read and then write about a pre-set book. These are listed below depending on the year these will be different

2010 Paper 2: Writing
- Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard: Shakespeare in Love: A Screenplay (1998); film directed by John Madden.
- Philip K. Dick Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (1968) Note: You may think the film Blade Runner (1982) is the film version of the book but be careful, the book is different from the film so don´t watch it

For this CPE course you will need TWO notebooks
The first step is to organise your vocabulary so click here for more explanation
The second is an A4 size notebooks for the devlopment of your writing. You must always write on the right hand pages of the notebook. Comments and corrections will be written in the page opposite (the left hand side of the notebook). This way you and the teacher will be able to have a better individual understanding of what and where you need to improve.
Choose ring-bound notebooks which you can buy at any local stationary shop.
